Grading
Grade A (Premium)
Length: 15–20 cm
Moisture Content: 25–30%
Quality: Long, plump, and supple beans with a rich, sweet, and intense fragrance. Free of cracks, blemishes, or imperfections. They are dark brown to black in color with a shiny appearance.
Grade B (Standard)
Length: 12–15 cm
Moisture Content: 30–35%
Quality: Beans of medium size. Slight imperfections or minor cracks may be present. Dark brown with some signs of dryness or wrinkling, but still retain a good level of flavor and aroma.
Grade C (Lower)
Length: <12 cm
Moisture Content: >35%
Quality: Smaller and thinner beans, often with a dry or brittle texture. Weaker aroma and beans may show significant cracks.
Typically used for extraction or as a lower-grade ingredient.
